Announcement
The 1st Galway Workshop on High Time Resolution Astrophysics is to be held over 2 days on Wednesday, 18 and Thursday, 19 April 2001, with the first day devoted to current activities in the field, and the second to future prospectives. This meeting is organized around a series of review talks, with time allocated for short contributed talks and poster presentations. The aim of the meeting is to encourage active discussion on the future of this field both in terms of technical development and the astrophysical implications of this work - as well as to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Galway. This is the website with details of the meeting and links to Galway activities. The Workshop will be held in the new Information Technology Building at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The University is located a short 10 minute walk from the centre of Galway city, on the banks of the river Corrib. The original mid-nineteenth century buildings are flanked by numerous new buildings, reflecting the University's steady growth. Click here for a map of the university. The workshop is being organised by the Astrophysics & Scientific Computing Group of the Information Technology Department and the Applied
Imaging Research Group of the Department of Physics.
